Does Glizid Increases Blood Sugar Level?

Not serious
Detailed answer...
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
This is a natural phenomenon occurring with every diabetic suffering from type 2 diabetes.
This happens because beta cell mass gradually dwindle as the diabetes progresses. These beta cells are present in pancreas and are responsible for production of insulin, which in turn helps in controlling the blood sugar levels.
As the beta cells reduce in number, less amount of insulin is formed and secreted with the same dose of medicine.
One has to adjust with this changing scenario by either increasing the dose or adding more medicines or changing the type of medications.
This a naturally occurring process and ultimately a stage is reached where no functioning residue of beta cells remain. It is at this stage when oral antidiabetics are no more effective and then injection insulin is the only option.
You dont have to loose any heart on this issue and hence you must consult your doctor for change of dose or prescription of medicines.
There are plenty of oral diabetics available in market which can effectively Control the blood sugar levels.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
