Thanks for the clarification. In case of IUI intrauterine insemination causes the sperms to bypass the cervical mucosal plug. However, that does not make it essential for any of the sperms to fertilize the secreted ovum. Proper timing is still important and I assume that the timing has been estimated using folliculometry (a type of ultrasonography that sequentially assesses the maturity of the ovarian follicle to estimate the possible window of ovulation). Incidentally, a number of cycles might still be needed in order to attain pregnancy.
You will know that you are pregnant when you get your missed period. A confirmation with urine pregnancy test would also show whether you have become pregnant.
