Does Lipitor Interact With Atorvastatin?
Question: First time user; the doctor prescribed Lipitor and the pharmacist gave me Atorvastatin; shoul I insist on the Lipitor?
Brief Answer:
Isnt a gross difference in action
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Atorvastatin is the generic version of lipitor. Generic version of any medicine is cheaper than the original drug.
Studies have found no significant difference of outcome on use of atorvastatin as compared to lipitor.
It means that you can safely take atorvastatin. In fact it will lower the costs also.
Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
