Does Penicillin VX For Urine Infection Have Any Reactions With Birth Control Pills?

Question: I was taking antibiotics the other day and then stopped and then had another 2 yesterday because I had a urine infection. I also took my pill microgynon 30 last night but was drinking alcohol and had sex. He came inside me. What are the chances of me being pregnant?

I understand your concern.
Please let me know which antibiotic you were taking. Only a few cause any decrease in the effect of oral contraceptive.
If you have been taking your birth control pill regularly and if you have not taken an antibiotic known to reduce the efficacy of the birth control pill there is only 3% chance of you becoming pregnant.
