Does Preparation H Help To Strengthen Anal Sphincter?
1.After doing something extremely stupid, I have left my sphincter looking loose and stretched, is there anyway to reduce the size and the wrinkles of the anus? Would something like Preparation H help tighten it? It has been more than a month since the occurrence, there was a tear and some bleeding and I haven't much problems other than how ugly it looks.
2.Most recently Ive had a discomfort, nothing serious and I checked it out today and noticed there's like a bump, cyst or something and am scared of what it could be. The bump isn't isn't red or anything.
Please follow the suggetsions below..

Hi and thank you for asking
I read carefully all your concerns and understood your queries.
1. It's true that sex toy are often complicated with anal issues. The most probably problems are anal fissure, bleeding and damage of anal sphincter.
Usually the damage of anal sphincter muscle happens when the sex toys are used for a long time. It is often associated with leakage and anal incontinence and you are not reported to have these symptoms.
From what I can see on the pics your anal sphincter doesn't seems to be damaged and it is within normal size and shape.
Otherwise to rule out anal sphincter damage I recommend to do anal sphincter manometry. It will help to determine the strength of the sphincter.
Preparation H doesn't help to strength the sphincter. It will help you to heal the fissure or to reduce hemorrhoids.
2.Your bump felt on anal area may be related with hemorrhoids or rarely with small hematoma after the trauma of sex toys.
To my opinion if you continue to felt anal discomfort after 6 weeks of anal sex than you need to do endoscopy and a physical examination of anal area.
Meantime I suggest to :
- avoid constipation using plenty of water, olive oil, vegetables
- keep dry and a good hygiene of anal area
- continue using preparation H
- start to do Kegel's exercise to strength anal muscles.
Hope it was helpful to you !

1. It is true that the sphincter does look similar to a non damaged one but I can't help but see and feel a difference between what it used to be and now. Is there any way to reduce the size of the anal ring? I feel that is the biggest problem regarding this issue.
Can you explain what Kegel's exercise is?
2. I have uploaded new pictures to try to show how the bump looks. It was only like 2 days ago where I have had to strain myself while using the bathroom. Do I avoid constipation by eating vegetables and olive oil? Or do I rub the olive oil in that area?
I actually haven't used preparation H. I was wondering if it could help shrink the anal ring. But since I have this bump should I try using it?
Please follow the suggestions below

Hi back XXXXXXX
1. Kegel's exercise are simply exercises that help patient to strength pelvic floor muscles.
These are the steps for Kegel's exercises:
a.Find the right pelvic muscle :To identify your pelvic floor muscles, tighten the muscles that keep you from passing gas.
b.Tighten your pelvic floor muscles, hold the contraction for 3 seconds, and then relax for 3 seconds.
c.Maintain your focus for a better results.
d.Repeat 3 times a day. Aim for at least three sets of 10 repetitions a day.
2.Even I don't see any problem with your anus, the way that you can use to reduce the size of anal ring is sphincteroplasty.
Please discuss with your surgeon.
3. With regards to constipation. You can use olive oil per oss by eating or drinking and not in anal area. You can start to use preparation H, it will help to heal fissure and anal tearing.
Wish you all the best!

1.Approximately how long will it take to tighten the anus using the kegels exercise?
2. So the only way to reduce the size of the anal ring is through sphincterolasty?
3. I added a couple more pictures to show how the bump on the anus looks like. I know it's not pleasant to look at such things but I am a bit worried about it and hope you may be able to examine the pictures. It's been a couple of days and still no size reduction and the slight pain in still there.

Hi back
1.With regards to kegel exercises, it needs a couple of weeks to months to see improvement.
2.To my opinion the most appreciated procedure to reduce the size of anal ring is sphynteroplasty.
Otherwise you should discuss it with your surgeon, because there are a lot of other procedures.
3.I review your new pictures and I can see only a lump on 7 a'clock position. It seems to be related with a skin infection or root pubic hairs infection, nothing serious issues. It is not related with anal ring.
Hope it was heplfull to you !

2. I added two more photos that I hope you can review them. They are hopefully more clear allowing you to see the bump. The bump seems to be at the border of the anal ring.
3. With regards to the new photos, do you still stand by what you said that the anal ring is within normal size and shape?
3. If it is a skin infection how do I deal with it because it has been almost a week and it still has a slight pain.

Hi back,
Thank you for follow up.
1.There other procedures to reduce the size of anal ring like:
a.Injection of various materials( silicone) to augment the function of the internal anal sphincter.
b.Sphincter replacement. A damaged anal sphincter can be replaced by an artificial anal sphincter.
c.Anterior sphyncteroplasty repair.
2. I review your new photos and i can see that your anal ring is not a circle form but an ovoid form. It may be a variation of normal, but if you say that it is not the same as before than it is damaged form anal toys.
Please keep in mind that the change in shape of anal ring doesn't necessary mean that your anus is dilated. This is why I strongly recommend to do anal sphincter manometry to exclude any damage or anal dilatation and leakage.
3. With regards to the bump on anal ring this pictures has a higher resolution (then other pictures) however it needs more professional high resolution pictures to judge about it. From what I can see it's more typical for anal skin and soft tissue damage and you shouldn't worry about it will reabsorb gradually within a couple of months.
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
