Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Your questions seems not very clear? I will restate before answering to make sure it is exactly what you want to talk about.
"I understand you are an epileptic patient on Dilantin, phenobarbital, diamox and folic acid. You have recently been diagnosed with acid reflux and recommended to take generic prilosec and you are scared.”
Off brand prilosec is just less expensive than the brand name prilosec. Their actions, benefits and side effects are all the same. Branded prilosec is is like a well packaged watch and a watch on the shelves but they are exactly the same.
The side effects could be scary but very few people ever get to develop them. {Prilosec is one of the most widely used medications on the planet. It is safe. Furthermore, there is no interaction between prilosec and your other medications.I will recommend that you take this drug for the acid reflux disease as well.
I hope this answers your question. I wish you well and available for any followups if need be.
Kind Regards!
