Does Prozac Interact With Perphenazine, Gabapentin And L-Theanine?
Question: Hi, I am on prozac 40mg and Perphenazine 2mg. Can I take Gaba, ltheanine and 5htp?

L-theanine increases serotonin in the brain, and therefore could interact with Prozac leading to increased serotonin in the brain and potentially cause serotonin syndrome, a dangerous condition that requires hospitalization.
5-HTP increases serotonin in the brain, and just like L-theanine could interact with Prozac leading to increased serotonin in the brain and potentially cause serotonin syndrome as described above.
