Would this be true for something like chlamydia?
Brief Answer:
Chlamydia can go unnoticed and be asymptomatic
Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. Chlamydia is a silent infection and most people are not tested for it till they have symptoms. Therefore it is possible that a person is having chlamydia infection but does not have symptoms.
2. There are different tests for mono nucleosis. One test is the specific EBV antibody test and this will only diagnose mono nucleosis infection. There is another test called heterophile test which can be positive in mono nucleosis and in conditions like toxoplasmosis, rubella, lymphoma and leukemia.
3. White blood cell analysis is important in mono nucleosis.
Hope your query is answered.
