Does Seroquel Interact With Metformin?
Question: I take birth control pills zovia 1/35, 100mg a night of seroquel for insomnia (not mental disorder) & 500mg of metformin for insulin resistance. Is it ok to take all these medications? Can they interract?
Brief Answer:
There is no interaction between the above mentioned tablets.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concern.
Your diagnosis should be PCOS. The contraceptive and Metformine may be a good treatment for it.
You should take all the above mentioned tablets because there is no interaction between them.
If you are overweight you can try to loose weight and than take off metformine.
All the medications have side effects but when the profit is higher than the risk than they should be taken.
Hope you have clarified your query.
Wish you good health.
Kind regards
Dr.Mirjeta

My dr is suggesting i take the XXXXXXX pill instead of zovia. Is the XXXXXXX pill safe?
Brief Answer:
Hello
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back!
Zovia is a combination pill, i.e it contains two hormones; progestin and estrogen, while the “mini-pills” contain only progestin. Generally, combination birth control pills are slightly more effective than progestin-only pills, but XXXXXXX pills have less side effects.
Estrogen has many side effects and should not be used in females who are in greater risk for breast and endometrial cancer, Cardiac diseases, Diabetes, clotting problems etc.
XXXXXXX pills do not have these side effects but as i mentioned are slightly less effective.
Hope the information is clear and helpful.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
