
Does Telmisartan Cause Stiffness In Thumb?

Question: Does telmisartan medicine for high blood pressure cause stiffness in thumb,is it cause of concern ?

No I don't think Telmisartan can cause stiffness in thumb . I have used this medicine on number of patients and till now none have complained of this.
I think you thumb stiffness is unrelated to Telmisartan. If the stiffness persists then you need to get evaluation done.
In that regard you need to get the following tests done.
X ray, Serum Uric acid and CRP.
Continue to take Telmisartan.
