Brief Answer:
Rare side effect, please provide some more detail

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam,

Thanks for writing to us.

Trazodone can cause muscular pain. But that is less severe. You are talking about pain in bones and joints and it is severe. This does not happen in general. It is rare side effect. To confirm this other factors must be ruled out.
Trazodone can fatigue and sleepiness which may be mistaken as joint pain sometime.

Please describe your pain in detail.
Onset and site of pain should be mentioned.
Does pain go with routine pain killer?
Considering your age , other problems like arthritis or osteoporosis should be ruled out.

The best thing is if you can stop trazodone for 3-4 days and pain goes away and on restarting it comes back, trazodone is the culprit otherwise something else is there.

Hope this answer is helpful.

regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
