Does A Broken Blood Vessel In Finger Cause Swelling ?
I was wondering if u could tell me if a person had a broken blood vessel in their finger, would it b swollen, and also show some bruising on the inside of the middle of the hand?

A broken blood vessel in the hand will cause hematoma of the hand which can cause irritation and inflammation. Swelling, redness and pain are typical symptoms of resulting inflammation. In addition one can also have bruising in the hand in which the color changes from that of a purplish-blue bruise to yellows and browns as the blood chemicals gradually are removed and the hematoma resolves.
Mostly such swelling and hematomas of skin and soft tissues are often treated with RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation). Application of cold compresses and site and severity of hematoma, it may need to be drained.
