Does A Bump Below My Fingernail Heal On Its Own?

Question: I have a bump below my fingernail that looks like a small volcano . the skin is not broken but it is raised and appears to have a build up of clear liquid . It stings at times and has been there for about a month .

Hi,

This is clearly infected and you will need antibiotics for proper care. Besides, I suggest that you go ahead and see a dermatologist for this. This may represent a keratotic lesions, requiring biopsy. Your age and location means we need to clearly understand all about it and not give room for any guesses.

Unfortunately, antibiotics cannot be issued online and they are not available over the counter.
