Brief Answer:
Fibroid of this size is unlikely to cause hip pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

Since when you have this pain? Is it worsening day by day? What activities reduce the pain? Did you use any anti inflammatory medications and see?

A little larger than golf ball means it must be sound 5 cm in size. A large fibroid can cause hip pain by pressing on nerves in the pelvis. But a fibroid of around 5 cm is unlikely to cause this pain.
Did you lift any heavy object? did you exercise too much? Consult Orthopedic surgeon to find out if you have sacro ileitis which can cause similar pain.
It is unlikely that a small fibroid of around 5 cm will cause hip pain.
I hope this helps.
If you have any further queries do write to me. I will be happy to answer.

I do exercise a lot Been about 3 weeks I also have scoliosis and the chiropractor said that it a big part of it. The chiropractor found the fibroid when he was doing an X-ray of my hips. Could I email you the X-ray? Is the size of the calcified fibroid on the X-ray actual size?

Brief Answer:
yes the size seen on X-Ray is the actual size.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
yes the size seen on X-Ray is the actual size.
What the chiropractor said is not clear to me. Can you write it clearly again?
You can email me the report. My email is YYYY@YYYY .
Since you say you exercise a lot, you must have strained your muscles without your knowledge and that might be causing the pain. vigorous exercises in the presence of scoliosis can cause hip pain too. Please do consult Orthopedic surgeon for expert opinion.
I will be going to the theatre now.
Will see your mail after 2 hours.
