Does A Follicular Study Test Hamper The Chances Of Conceiving?
Continue glucophase to regularize cycle.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,
Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:
1) I suggest you to continue Glucophase (Metformin) with prescribed dose. Both medicines are given to induce ovulation and improve chance of pregnancy. They DON'T have any bad effect or cause problem in conceiving. It will also help to overcome insulin resistance and improve fertility.
2) Period cycle should be regular with 28-30 days duration for proper ovulation and it will help to increase chance of pregnancy. You should undergo follicular study again on D14, D16 and D18 to check the status of dominant follicle.
3) If above treatment fails to regularize your cycle or induce ovulation, I can suggest to add progesterone supplement (like Duphaston etc) from D16 to D25. You can check your ovulation status through ovulation prediction kit or LH kit, available in medical store, in the middle of cycle.
4) Take LOW carbohydrate diet, control or reduce body weight, avoid mental stress and try to maintain an overall healthy life style.
Hope, it helps for your information. Wish your good health and take care.
