Sacral agenesis has three levels depending upon the severity of the abnormality, but usually the patient has normal life expectancy even with level three. The problem patients face is more related to disability, and problems in performing normal functions of every day life like body movements, walking, balance, defecation ,urination, sexual life.

If patients are trained and rehabilitated to deal with these problems and enough precautions are taken to prevent complications of the problem then there is a strong possibility that life expectancy is normal, although life style and quality might be compromised.
