Question: Will a prostate biopsy cause pain in my rectum and prostate and will i be allowed to take pain meds if so after the procedure

Dear Sir,

In the majority of cases, the prostate biopsy is done under sedation with local anesthesia. Adequate analgesia is also given before and after the procedure. You will be allowed to take pain medicine after the procedure. Please do not worry as the procedure is unlikely to cause any major pain.
Rest be assured there is no cause for concern.
