Does A Simple Handshake Transmit Urinary Infection From One Person To Another?

Question: I visited a client in a nursing home who was in a room by himself. I was told that he's suffering from a contagious virus in his urine. I shook his hand & did not use gloves. Am I in any risk of contracting the virus?

I found out that my client is infected with a Urinary Tract Infection in this situation - so let ask again - I visited a client in a nursing home who was in a room by himself.
