Does A Tumor On Adrenal Gland Produce High Cortisol Levels?
Question: Does a tumor on adreanl gland that produced to much testosterone produce cortisol as well? Does it produce ecery hormone or just that specific hormone?

Adrenal gland has a portion called cortex and another portion called medulla.
Cortex produce hormones like cortisol, androgens and aldosterone.
Medulla produce adrenaline and nor adrenaline.
Usually a benign tumor produce a specific hormone. If the benign tumor is arising from cortisol producing cells, it will secrete cortisol only.
However, malignant tumors produce more than one hormone

Usually yes. But as i mentioned earlier, malignant tumours can produce both. However, an ACTH producing tumour of pituitary can stimulate adrenal gland and both cortisol and androgens can go high.

Excess cortisol secretion cause cushing's syndrome. Excess cortisol can affect brain and cause emotional disturbances, Euphoria, Depression as well as psychosis. But these are rare. Excess cortisol can cause obesity, high blood pressure, high blood sugarss, weak bones and musceles, fractures of bones etc. These are more common than effects on brain.
