                                            Question : Hi! My husband just finished his HepC Harboni Treatment, the results indicate that he is virus free. Question his cirrhosis is very advanced, he still have ascites, edema and encephalopathy symptoms, He is still very ill due to the irreversible cirrhosis condition, What to expect from now on, please?

I am sorry to hear that you husband has advanced cirrhosis. The treatment of his hepatitis C is going to slow the progression of his cirrhosis but not stop it. He will still have issues but some of the symptoms like ascites, encephalopthy may improve for a while. This will help prolong his life, how much no one can predict but every day we prolong is a blessing.
