Does Alcohol Consumption While On Tinidazole Cause One To Fall Violently Ill?

Question: Hi,
I have trichomoniasis. I have been treat for it with metronidazole and it went away for a few weeks.
I have it again, and went back to the doctor. They gave me tinidazole incase that didn't fully clear it. When I was on the Tinidazole, it said to not drink alcohol at all 2 days before and 2 days after. It was 48 hours after I had taken the medication and had one drink with my roommate thinking it was past time allotted for it to go through my system, but looking back I didn't allow for 24 hours of taking the medication, and I threw up non stop for about 3 hours. Could I have thrown up the medicine and it not fully work? I also had my water to only 120 degrees and don't think it disinfected my sheets, underwear and clothes. I have had NO sexual intercourse since the initial time of getting and am no longer with the guy that I got it from. I honestly think it is from my laundry. I have currently turned my water up to 145 degrees and am currently disinfecting everything.
Although, I still have the symptoms of it. Do I go back and get another doze of metronidazole to get rid of it now that everything is disinfected? Also, do I need to throw away the underwear I had when I had it? I have been wearing pads, clean underwear and spandex so it does not come in contact with anything but clean materials.
I don't know what to do, but want this completely gone.
Thank you for your time and your knowledge.

Brief Answer:
Repeat tinidazole
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, I understand your health issue and anxiety related to the same.
It is most probably due to repeat infection, take a note of the following -
- wear a cotton based underwear and change it daily which you have already disinfected
- wash perineal region with vWash liquid after bath
- use condom while having sex
- get your blood sugar levels checked
Also visit your gynecologist for prescription of tinidazole and a thorough examination.
All the best.

Dr Manisha.
