Does An Abortion Kit Consist Of Mifepristone Alone?

Question: Hi,

I am about 4 to 5 weeks into my pregnancy. I have taken an abortion kit and it has 3 mifepristone tablets 200mg. I was asked to take one tablet every 12 hours. It DOES NOT have Misoprostol tablets. but on your website it says that Misoprostol also needs to be taken. Which one is the correct method? Please excuse me as I am expecting a detailed answer.

Both mifepristone and misoprostol are required

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Medical abortion consists of tablets mifepristone and misoprostol both.
Mifepristone 200 mg has to be taken followed by 4 tablets of 200 mcg of misoprostol after 24-48 hours.
Only mifepristone will not be able to cause complete abortion.
One has to take misoprostol to achieve complete abortion.
