Does Application Of Henna Pose A Risk Of Damaging Blood Vessels?

Question: Dermatologist or toxicologist only, please. A few weeks ago my 17 yr old daughter applied XXXXXXX paste extensively to her hands and feet prior to a Bharatanatya dance performance. Unlike the many times she has applied it in the past, she covered it with plastic wrap. In the morning there was the appearance of a henna-stained fine branching pattern that looked like either blood vessels or possible nerves.
I know that occlusive wrap can increase the absorption of substances applied superficially to the skin. I also know that XXXXXXX pastes can be contaminated with certain heavy metals such as lead and mercury.
The brand is India's Best Seasons Dulhan mehendi jumbo cone.
The XXXXXXX is still on her hands and feet as it lasts a few weeks.
Please see the uploaded photos.

My question is: should we consider getting a lead or mercury level? Her pediatrician (who is an XXXXXXX physician in America) was unsure, and advised me to call the State Lab of Hygiene. They also were unsure and suggested a lead level but were not sure how long to wait before the test would be most accurate.
