Does Benign Breast Tumour Require Surgery?

Question: Is it necessary to remove small benign tumour 13 mm *7 mm from breast? M
Brief Answer:
Hello Dear. it is a benign lesion. Even biopsy not required
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I havegone through the details and the report. So itis a BIRADS 2 lesion which is a benign lesion. There is no risk of cancer and a biopsy is not required. However, if you want to go for a biopsy you can , but in almost 100 percent cases it will turn out to be normal. There is no point in operating and remving it. Leave it as it is.
You just require annual mammogram to see its course.
Thanks and regards

Brief Answer:
Hello. There may be a slightly more risk
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. Due to the history of first degree relative(your mother) died of breast cancer, there is a slightly higher risk of breast cancer in you.
But do not worry.
You have to undergo annual mammogram to check for the development of breast cancer if any.
However, I repeat, a BIRADS 2 lesion is for all practical purposes is benign lesion and does not warrant a biopsy.
rest assured
Thanks and regards
