Question: 50 yr old male with a hernia, now on the road. Stopped to P, found brownish red urine. Has two hours till motel.Is OK to go on, or should they find a hospital?
Brief Answer:
possible dehydration or urine infection likely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
* The brown-red urine seems in relation to possible dehydration or urine
infection ( not related to a hernia).
There is no need to rush to the ER, you can get to your motel.
* My suggestions at present
- Drink plenty of liquids as coconut water, buttermilk, lemon juice, organic
tea, oral rehydration salt etc.
- Avoid exposure to excess heat.
- Get cranberry XXXXXXX from the retail shop and add it in a glass of mineral
water to drink twice daily.
Observe the urine color for next 24 hours.
Please follow up according to the progress of the condition.
Wish you a quick recovery.
Regards.
