Does Bumps On The Penis Indicate Balanitis?

Question: I've been progressively getting more and more of these bumps on my penis. I think it's Blantis but I'm starting to worry. When I urinate, there's a little stinging sensation but it doesn't hurt. They do not itch.

It's Not balanitis. These are molluscom contagiosa--a virus problem but not herpes and not an STD. Usually these disappear in time but if they're bothersome they can be removed by a dermatologist with a cold CO2 laser or with liquid nitrogen freezing.

What is the cause of this? Should I refrain from sex until they're gone? Is there anything i can put on it to speed up the healing process?

It's a virus

Detailed Answer:
As I said it's a virus--somewhat related to the same one that causes warts on the finger. It's not an STD since, for example, we see these on kids a lot.

You don't need to refrain from sex and for now you can try Eucerin cream to see if that helps.
