Does Calcium Deficiency In Body Cause Weight Gain?

Some more details please
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing to hcm.
Noted the contents. Well, would you please tell me your height and weight. It would be good to see a dietician again. If you would cut your calories by 500 daily you will loose two kg at the end of the month without any issue. From what I understand you have quite a good nutritious meal intake except for some occasional treats. That is alright. What you need to remember is to never wait until you are hungry. Eat small frequent meals. Drinm atleast three ltr water a day. Use green tea liberally. The tablet glipizide is also known to cause minimal weight gain. Moreover loosing weight isn't easy for some as the resistance to burning fat is higher. But please continue to stay active and eat healthy. The benefits from those are beyond weight loss. That is just one objective. You can try and keep metformin at a XXXXXXX dose of 2550 mg a day and keep glipizide to the minimal possible dose. Engage in swimming. Its very useful to loose weight. You can consume cheese but not more than once a day. See a dietician and fix a customised diet plan. Its unlikely you have a nutritional deficiency as you suspect.
I will be glad to answer any more queries if you have any. Take care. Warm regards. Dr Praveen Jeyapathy
