Does Capsicum Extract Help The Flow Of Sympathetic Nerve System?
Question: Dr. Mintz-I have horners syndrome that give me a dropping right eyelid.Can capsicum extract help the flow of the sympathetic nerve system?

I am so sorry to hear about this disease condition that you have mentioned. Horner's syndrome is caused by nerve damage and capsicum extract wouldn't help. Capsicum has been widely explored in the treatment of nerve related pain but not nerve damage as is the case with hornet's syndrome.
The best approach is to treat the underlying cause. When the cause of it is addressed, then you would feel better. For now, I will suggest you wear protective glasses to protect the eye. Physical therapy is also good at accelerating recovery.

Physical therapy would help you to conscious utilize the muscles of the eyes to prevent dropping. Also, it would increase the strength of the muscle. This would not act on the nerve but would rather tonify the muscles.
