Brief Answer:
Need not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Carmicide is an antacid preparation and contains Simethicone. Loose stools is a side effect of Simethicone.

If baby is otherwise playful and feeding well, nothing to worry. Simethicone is not absorbed into body, and is excreted unchanged in stools, and any effect will not last beyond 24-48 hours(time needed for complete excretion). Just increase the frequency of feeds until bowel is normalised. Until then, no worries- stay relaxed

I hope this answer will help

Brief Answer:
Kindly share full details of the drug

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,

There are some differences in composition of carmicide available in different countries. So kindly share the exact composition of the one you are having. You can take a close up image and upload or type the entire composition. Also confirm whether you are having the drops or syrup preparation .

Alcohol is used in many drugs as a solvent and should not cause any harm in the concentration mentioned, provided age specific preparations are used
