Does Climbing Stairs Regularly Have Bad Effects On The Knees?
Question: Hello Doctor, i am 28 years old with a height of 5'8" and i weigh 87 Kgs.
My work type is sedentary, but recently i have started using stairs in my office instead of elevators.
I usually climbs up the stairs (7 Floors) twice and comes down the stairs (7 floor) twice in a day.
Now what i am worried about is, is it safe to use stairs as i have heard from many people that climbing stairs causes bad affects on knees.
Please guide my way forward shall i continue to use stairs or not. If not, then what should i do so as to reach optimum fitness level.
