Does Deep Kissing Lead To Transmission Of HIV?

Question: Hi. I was tested 3 weeks ago for std's. Everything was negative. About 2 months ago I kissed someone. Deep kiss, not a peck on lips. A few days later I got swollen tonsils and now I feel achy. I googled my symtoms and it said HIV. I am petrified! I tested negative in July, 5 weeks after the kiss. Can I have HIV?

No,you cant. HIV cant be transmissed by kissing unless there is almost impossible coincidence that you both had open bleeding wounds in mouth at time of kissing,but even then transmission risk is minor. swollen tonsils and ache are not signs of aids. so called acute retroviral syndrome commonly confuse people when they google hiv signs but these signs are nonspecific and HIV is last thing to think of. first thing to thi of are upper respiratory and troat infections and if tonsiles are enlarged then this may be streptococal tonsilitis. All you need is course of antibiotics but have swab test before. i wouldnt even have hiv tests in your place,this is unnecessary. wish you good health. Regards
