Question: my mom feels dizzy not balanced amd some neck pain ..doctors said its related to ear infection ..please advise what could she have? ehat should we do!?
Brief Answer:
Cervical spondylosis
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Dizziness associated with neck pain is most often due to cervical spondylosis however it is true that ear infection also causes dizziness. Here is what I suggest
1. Get an X ray of the cervical spine AP and Lateral view. Approach a good orthopedician
2. Treat the ear infection as per the ENT advice
3. I have seen good improvement with Tab Betahistine three times daily
4. Avoid bending of the neck and brisk movements of the neck and eyes. This will cause more giddiness.
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
