Does Drinking Lemon Juice Cause Difficulty In Conceving?
Question: Good day doctor. ...I was told by my mum that it's not advisable to take lime or lemon when one is trying to get pregnant. ...as these are highly acidic hence it kills the sperm during sexual intercourse.
is it true.....If not does it have any negative effect whatsoever on sperm and pregnancy.

Lemon juice or lime reduces the sperm motility in the vagina. So sperms can't move forward in good amount and chances of pregnancy are less.
It makes sperm survival also difficult. So it is advisable to stay away from lemon or lime juice when trying for pregnancy.
It also affect menstrual cycles in female. In early pregnancy it make increase uterine contractions and cause abortion. This is not 100% but the risk increases.
