Does Expired UTI Medicines Still Effective For Use?

Question: I have two drugs for bladder/urinary tract infections. They are ciprofloxacin and sulfameth trimethoprim.
They expired 6/29/13. A year later, are they still effective for use?

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have UTI and have been prescribed Ciprofloxacin and Trimethoprim..You have these drugs which have already expired on 29 XXXXXXX 2013.

Efficacy of any medicine remain potent only for one month after expiry date .Taking these drugs will not serve any purpose and will not give any positive results.
