Does Frequent Masturbation Cause Bladder Problem?
Masturbation or sexual intercourse will not cause these symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have increased frequency of Urination and urge to pass urine, which you think it to be due to frequent masturbation and sexual intercourse.
Please note that masturbation or sex for 2-3 times in a week will not cause these symptoms .
These symptoms could be either due to Bladder Outlet Obstruction caused by either by Enlarged prostate or Bladder neck obstruction ...
After going through the threads which you had with other panelist on this forum I am of the opinion that all your problems are due to anxiety and not due to any organic cause.
Opinion of a qualified Psychiatrist will be of much help to resolve your issues .
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.

Thanks for responding to my query. I appreciate you looked into the thread that i had with other doctor panelists. I have a few follow up questions. I would be grateful if you could kindly respond to the below.
1) Can a cystoscopy detect if i had Bladder neck obstruction? I have had both physical prostate exam and cystoscopy, apart from all the basic metabolic panel tests, but wasn't specifically told about about any obstruction.
The reason i asked specifically about masturbation being a cause, was because i have been peforming it consistently once a week for atleast last 20 years or so. Thats why i was concerned if so much could of this habit could have indirectly or directly affect my bladder in any manner.
2) Since none of the medications took effect on my symptom's, i was told to resort to physical therapy and have been asked to do exercises to strengthen pelvic muscles, and also been advised to eliminate many bladder irritants such as coffee, tea etc from my diet. Do you think i should continue this and how long?
I have also been asked to practice Yoga and meditation.
3) I am in one way frustrated because it has been happening since three years, and also at a roadblock because once in a while, these symptom's seem to subside by themselves for a few weeks / month(s) and suddenly re-appear with no apparent cause. Sometimes, on and off, it is accompanied with minor leg pain which comes and goes away. In the past (about 4 years back), i did go through a different set of physical therapy to treat this same kind of pain (did de-compressions, chiropractor treatment etc) and i was fine. Do you think seeing a psychiatrist and getting any prescriptions from them could help towards resolution?
4) I also tried for a few months some homeopathic medicines. And have purchased some Ayurvedic as well. Do you think i should try those?
Thanks so much. Looking forward to hearing from you Doctor.
Best Regards XXXXXXX
