Does Frequent Urination And Abdominal Pain Require Consultation?

default
Posted on Thu, 28 Sep 2017
Question: Hi, I have no fever, but have had frequency of urination for the last several days, having to get up about every 2 hours during the night, and not a lot of urine. Have pain in my left flank (about waist level, from lower ribs to left hip); and a occasional ache in my lower bladder area. When should I call for an appointment with my doc, or should I? My urine is clear, also.

Brief Answer:
Calf for an appointment right away!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your symptoms are typical of urinary tract infection. You need to call your doctor right away because you must receive antibiotics that can only be provided by your doctor. In the interim, drink much cranberry juice.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
