Does Hair Coloring Cause Hair Fall And Thinning?
Question: i am 39 years old female. Abt 25 days back i got my hair coloured for first time to cover grey hair and the beautician applied schwarzkopf essentia hair color on my full hair ,which she informed me is organic and has no chemicals and will last for one year and only touch-ups would be required in 1-2 month time.
Earlier I used to apply XXXXXXX regularly at home.however she told me I have damaged my hair completely by applying XXXXXXX and therefore should start using hair color.
She also gave me schwarzkopf color lock shampoo and conditioner which i am using as advised.
However my problem is that after this hair color , my hair have become very dry,frizzy and are falling like anything when i comb after washing hair or when applying conditioner or even when applying hair oil.
Before this i had no hair fall at all .I have also checked my thyroid (since i have hypothroidism),but it is normal.Now i dont know what to do.Either the color or the shampoo/conditioner did not suit me.
I spoke to that beutician again,but now she is not agreeing that this is due to hair color as she says it was organic and completely safe.now she is advising me to take hair spa to treat my hair.
Should i change the color brand or stop using it altogether or again start using henna?
I have long hair and never used any chemicals on them before this

Even though they ensure it is organic most packed coloring materials will have chemicals.Organic or chemicals both can have allergic or inflammatory reactions on scalp and hair beds.
So a thorough examination of scalp by dermatologist will help to diagnose the problem.It is most likely a inflammatory or allergic reaction to the product you used.Ensure you have controlled the hypothyroidism as it may cause hair thinning and hairfall. Anemia also should ruled out by testing Heamoglobin level in blood as it also can be a cause.
In case of inflammatory as well as allergic reactions we usually give Corticosteroid ointments or gels for local application which will arrest it.You should also stop the product which is supposed to be cause of this.I will also give vitamin biotin supplement and advice to have a stress free life by getting some breathing exercises for relaxation.
You can restart natural XXXXXXX after normalizing this as it was with out any problems.

I just got tested my thyroid and hemoglobin 2 days back and they are normal.
Anyways will visit a dermatologist as advised.

Just one small question.this month my periods also got delayed which are otherwise regular and which is not pregnancy.thought i will be visiting the gynacologist seperately for this problem as well,could there be a remote possibility that this is also an allergic reaction to the hair color ?
If yes,then i will have to mention this also to my gynacologist,to know the possible reason for delay in periods.
