Brief Answer:
She has UTI and needs to be treated with appropriate antibiotics..

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your wife has acute UTI.

There is no harm in giving her Citralka which is urine alkalizer .This will help her to get relief from burning urination,

Get her routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Give her broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefotaxime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily .Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure she drinks more water. To keep her urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.

Thanks Dr. XXXXXXX

Sir,

As in today morning , following is the update. ....

1. Her urine is not cloudy . She is not having difficulty in urination and it is transparent in color.

2. There is minor pain at the end of urination

3. She has minor pain in lower waist area .

4. Total morning the temperature is 101.7

Yesterday night , she had chitralka , followed by one tab of LCZ: 5MG and one crocin. Her temperature got down instantly but in morning it again climbed to 101.7. Perhaps crocin was not the cure !!

As suggested by you , i will get the urine culture done today .

About the broad spectrum antibiotics : Shall i give the following after having breakfast , lunch and dinner or prior to that .

a) Cefotaxime : TWICE DAILY ?
b) Nitrofurantoin twice daily DAILY ?
c) urine alkaliser thrice daily : CITRALKA ?

I have given her MILK and a rusk in morning just now at 8:10 am.

Any other precautions that you may suggest . Kindly let me know .

Can i also give vitro soda to her .

XXXXXXX khanna
