However, some doctors prefer to start the medicine from D3 to D7 if her cycle is between 21-28 days or early menstrual cycle.

Both are quite effective to induce ovulation, occurrs within 5 to 10 days after cessation of medicine. I suggest you to use Ovulation Prediction Kit in the middle of cycle to predict ovulation day or high fertile period.
