Question: Is clonidine also for occasional irregular heart beat and is there another drug or otc med that is available for this? I've had two Ablations within the past two years to clear up A-Fib but I still get an occasional skipped or extra beat<

I read your query and understood your concerns.

Clonidine isn't a preparation to treat also occasional irregular heart beats (skipped beats). On the contrary Clonidine has as a common side effect skipped beats and other arrhythmias.

If you were my patients I would suggest to switch Clonidine to a beta blockers (Nebivolol) which is effective in the treatment of hypertension and premature (skipped) heart beats.

I would like also to suggest ussing Magnesium reach supplements to help you with skipped beats.
