Does Intake Of Siphene Help In Treating Infertility Problems?

Question: Hello doctor

I had an laparoscopy last month for tubal blockage and this month I got my periods. I was prescribed by doctor to take siphine tab 100 mg for 5 days.

Please tell me will this help me n will I b able to concieve fast.

I have carefully gone through your query, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.

1. First of all do not panic.

2. For a woman to get pregnant 3 basic things are required.
a. Good seminal sperm count
b. normal uterine cavity and patent fallopian tubes
c. regular ovulation.

3. As your husband's reports are normal and your laparoscopy suggests that your tube are patent and if your cycles are regular means you are forming egg regularly.

4. Tablet Siphene helps to form egg. I will suggest you to get follicle study from day 10 of the cycle, this will help to know status of egg formation and date of egg release. Intercourse on and around that date will help in achieving pregnancy faster.

As discussed earlier, What you are going to be doing is follicle study on USG. This helps to know about the process of egg formation And day of egg release.

You can plan for timed intercourse on and around the day of egg release.

Or if you have planned with your doctor, you can go for IUI - intra uterine insemination, on that day. In this process husband's good quality sperms are separated by special techniqueand are passes in the uterine cavity.

In a woman with regular cycles day 10 to 20 of the cycle is the most fertile period of cycle. Having sex act at least on alternate days during this period, will enhance your chance of getting pregnant.

On top of that USG done for follicle study will also serve as a guide to know exact day of egg formation.
