Does Intake Of Water Before An Endodontic Test Affect The Result?
Question: My endo ordered blood tests this morning to look for adrenal insufficiencies. I know that the test is fasting but am I allowed water? I was recently hospitalized for Rhabdo and whatever is wrong with me makes me incredibly thirsty.
Brief Answer:
Yes
Detailed Answer:
Water is ok to take when the 8 am Serum Cortisol test is performed. So if this is the test you underwent for checking for adrenal insufficiency, water is permitted. There is another test for this condition called ACTH stimulation test that requires 3 blood samples. For this too, it is ok to drink water.
