Question: Can iron deficiency cause a chronic low grade sore throat?

I have been told LPR, allergies and muscle dysphonia..treated them all with no budge.

My iron is 12, which is borderline anemic. I did get it up to about 25, but my throat still hurt.

Brief Answer:
It may be indirectly related

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details.

So an iron deficiency is not directly related to allergies or infections but it may represent a chronic nutritional deficiency which is causing low immunity status and hence chronic or repeated sore throat.

I'd suggest to Eat healthy n nutritious food. Take more iron supplements.

Feel free to ask further.

Thanks and regards
