Brief Answer:
No. It does not affect the length.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A knee replacement does not cause a change in the limb length. It only replaces the joint and is usually recommended for arthritic joints.
It is used to relieve the pain and stiffness due to arthritis. It will not affect the limb length.
I hope this answers your query.

Thank u 4your answer. I had a left hip repl, and that leg lengthened also, cuz my left leg has always been shorter. My doctor says wen he does the knee repl on my right that that will make my right longer, so I will have to use a lift always. Weird don't u think, I started out with my right being longer, now he is making it even longer. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Leg lengthening is not required.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Knee replacement itself does not cause a change in the leg length unless the change in length is done intentionally. You can take a second opinion from another orthopedic surgeon with all your investigation reports before going for a surgery.
Hope my answer is helpful.
