Brief Answer:
Ideal to check BP again...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I believe you were asymptomatic when you checked blood pressure. Assuming that you were indeed asymptomatic when you recorded BP of 93/73mm Hg, there is no reason to be worried about. Technically speaking too BP above 90/70mm Hg is in limits albeit in the borderline. Therefore don't be worried about this BP reading.

You can recheck blood pressure randomly for the next one week (atleast thrice). Based on subsequent readings, we can plan the next steps of management (if any).

As far as your father's concern, loss of smell and numbness in one finger may or may not be serious problem. If his symptoms developed suddenly, the it needs to be evaluated. He should visit his local physician for examination.

Let me know if you have any more questions on either concerns.

Brief Answer:
too early to attribute causes...

Detailed Answer:
The symptoms you mentioned are too broad and without physical examination and investigation I wouldn't be able to arrive at the causes. Yes, high blood pressure can cause brain effects which can produce neurological symptoms. However without evaluation it would be extremely difficult to name the reason.

Please go ahead with the physician consultation. You can update me with reports and I will be able to comment further.

Regards
