Thanks Doctor.

Since this is local TB at the lymhnode and not in lungs , doctors have said it will will not spread to any of my family members. But due to 1 year baby at my home it worries me a lot.

Secondly, I have acute pain at right lower back ribs (beneath right hand). It feels swollen also. Is it related to TB ?

Brief Answer:
it won't spread

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Yes only lymph node TB won't spread to anyone nor even child. Don't worry.

That swelling you mentioned on back side could be due to tuberculosis of para spinal lymphnodes. I suggest you to get needle biopsy done of the swelling if it is firm.

If it is just a bulge or swollen then you may get ultrasound of it to know the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

Thanks. No it is not firm, I think its just a bulge.

One more question,

After the cervical biopscopy surgery, culture reports are normal with no growth of bacteria. On few occasions, surgeon has removed aspire from the surgery area. The surgery was done a month back. No aspire was found after 15 days of surgery. But since a week constant pus like water oozes out in form of dropplets from the surgery area (a 0.5 cm opening at the surgery scar has formed). When should this stop and heal. Any medications to heal this quickly?

Please note, The TB is cold abscess at right shoulder.

Brief Answer:
need to take a course of antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

For the discharge you need to take a course of antibiotic like amoxicillin and clavulinic acid with anti inflammatory like serratiopeptidase or tyrpsin chymotyrpsin combination. This will help in healing and reduce discharge.

Once show to your doctor as these are prescription drugs and also to diagnose tubercular sinus. Chances of secondary infection will be there. Meanwhile you get examined that bulge also and if needed get ultrasound done . Chances of multiple lymph node involvement will be there.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.
