Does Medical Termination Of Pregnancy Have Any Effects On Future Pregnancy?
Question: Hi , I have accidentally had a pregnancy and do not want a child right now..I consulted a gynae and she said i use pills..I want to know if it is safe and what will be the side effects.

Usually up to 8 weeks of gestational age pregnancy can be terminated with tablets, which is called as medical termination of pregnancy.
As your ultrasound is showing 5weeks 2 days of intrauterine gestational sac, you can use tablets to terminate the pregnancy as advised by your doctor.
There may not be any major side effects because of the tablets.
You may get pain abdomen, bleeding during the process of abortion.
Usually these will subside after completion of the process.
This may not affect your future fertility.
But better to be careful in future and use some regular contraceptive measure to avoid these type of problems.

Do i need to stay in the hospital during this time or can i stay at home ?
