Question: I woke up one day about 2 months ago and my hands and feet felt little numb and tingly and cold. it never went away. Dr did complete test and everything came back normal. I was dealing with those symptoms until last week. I was fine one night dancing and having fun and the next day start feeling pins and needles all over my body, muscle pain, weakness and stiffness. I started to feel fatigue and weak all over. My muscle ar stiff in my back and arm. It is hard for me to left my arm up. All I want to do is lay in bed. I feel very cold all the time. I keep feeling little electric shocks through out my body ( they come and go), muscle spasms while resting and joint pain. I had a spine MRI and a head CT scan and also had LP done and everything came back normal mean while my symptoms are getting worse everyday. Please help figure out what is wrong. I know it is some kind of an autoimmune disease but don't know what. I feel it could be MS but don't know.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to many causes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Many causes of such sensations are there. These include injury to the back or spinal cord, Lack of blood supply to the legs and arms as a result of plaque formation in the blood vessels, diabetes, stroke, multiple sclerosis and underactive thyroid. Abnormal levels of calcium, potassium, or sodium in your body and a lack of vitamin B12 can also cause tingling and pins and needle sensations.
You need to consult a neurologist for a detailed evaluation so that proper treatment can be started.
You should eat a healthy diet consisting more of meat and non veg products which are sources of vitamin B 12. If you are a vegetarian then you can take vitamin B 12 supplements after consulting your physician.
Have a glass of orange juice or any mixed fruit so that if any electrolyte imbalance is there it can be corrected.
I hope this answers your query.
