Does Placenta Receiving Inadequate Blood Flow Require Medical Attention?
Question: hi, i am 31 weeks pregnant..n attached is the report of the fetal growth scan with doppler.. could you explain what does the text in bold indicates. n if there s any precautions i shud take?
Brief Answer:
Suggests decreased blood flow in placenta.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It suggests that the resistance in blood flow in the uterine artery is more and the placenta is not getting adequate blood flow. This can cause growth retardation in the baby.
Taking a low dose of aspirin and keeping the blood pressure under control will help. You also need to have regular ultrasound scan every two weeks to monitor the fetal growth and amount of liquor.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
