Question: I would like to know if you Lyrica could be one of the drugs associated with Guillain-Barr Syndrome GBS . I was diagnosis with GBS in several stays of hospital from 8/7/14 - 8/31/14. I was on Lyrica since approximatley from 2003-8/2014 and prior to GBS and had no reaction to using the Lyrica. They put me on Gabapentin 800mg a day 3 times a day for my periperal neuropathy and I still strugel with my neuropathy.

The exact cause isn't discovered yet, but infections such viral ones can precede it.
Risk factors include viral infections (Influenza virus, Epstein-Barr), surgery, Hodgkin's lymphoma, but no drugs including Lyrica are found to cause or predispose to Guillain-Barré syndrome.
